THE POSITION

Start Date: Immediate Employment Type: PRN, W-2 from day one Schedule: School day hours, Monday through Friday. No evenings or weekends. Setting: K-12 school-based, serving students experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral health challenges

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Conduct trauma-informed intake assessments and develop individualized mental health treatment plans
  • Deliver individual and small group evidence-based therapy: CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma-focused techniques
  • Assess suicide and self-harm risk, develop safety plans, and respond to mental health crises
  • Facilitate family meetings, caregiver training, and mental health education
  • Maintain clinical documentation and treatment progress records
  • Collaborate with school counselors, special education staff, nurses, and community partners
  • Contribute to mental health awareness initiatives and staff training

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Mental Health, or related clinical field
  • Active Tennessee licensure: LCSW, LPC, LMSW, MSW, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based approaches
  • Current CPR / First Aid certification
  • Clear background check and proof of immunization status per district requirements

PREFERRED

  • 2 or more years of school-based mental health, clinical social work, or school counseling experience
  • Training in TF-CBT, DBT, or other evidence-based modalities
  • Experience with crisis intervention and suicide / self-harm assessment
  • Bilingual capability: Spanish, Vietnamese, or Mandarin is a meaningful plus
