Position Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Chief Institutional Advancement Officer

Overview:

The Grants & Compliance Manager is responsible for leading the development, submission, tracking, and compliance of all grants for ITC. This role ensures that institutional grants—public and private—are strategically pursued, properly managed, and fully compliant with funder requirements. The Manager works closely with program leaders, finance, and advancement staff to maximize funding opportunities while maintaining strong stewardship and reporting practices.

Key Responsibilities

Grant Development & Strategy

  • Identify, research, and prioritize grant opportunities aligned with ITC’s strategic goals
  • Develop and manage an institutional grant calendar and pipeline
  • Lead the writing, submission, and coordination of competitive grant proposals
  • Cultivate relationships with foundations, corporations, and government funders

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with all grant requirements, deadlines, budgets, and deliverables
  • Coordinate post-award reporting, financial tracking, and documentation
  • Work closely with finance and program teams to monitor expenditures
  • Maintain accurate grant records in CRM and grant management systems

Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Partner with academic, workforce, and program leaders to design fundable projects
  • Provide guidance on grant requirements and best practices
  • Support capacity building across departments for grant readiness

Performance & Risk Management

  • Track grant success rates, funding totals, and timelines
  • Identify compliance risks and implement corrective actions
  • Develop standardized grant processes and templates

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)
  • 4–6+ years of grant writing and grants management experience
  • Proven success securing foundation, corporate, and/or government funding
  • Strong knowledge of grant compliance and reporting requirements
  • Excellent writing, organizational, and project management skills

Preferred

  • Experience in higher education or workforce development
  • Familiarity with federal/state grant regulations (as applicable)
  • Experience with grant management software
