PART TIME: MONDAYS/TUESDAYS FROM 9AM - 6PM EST, IN OFFICE IN ALEXANDRIA, VA

The Part-Time Nurse Practitioner will deliver evidence-based gynecological care to our patient population under collaborative practice guidelines. This role is ideal for an experienced NP who values work-life balance, thrives in an independent practice setting, and is passionate about women's health. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical judgment, an existing insurance credentialing profile, and a commitment to delivering a superior patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive well-woman exams, preventive screenings, and follow-up visits

• Diagnose and manage common gynecological conditions including contraception management, STI screening/treatment, abnormal uterine bleeding, and menopause care

• Prescribe and manage medications, including controlled substances as appropriate under DEA registration

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging; coordinate specialist referrals as needed

• Accurately document all patient encounters in the practice's EHR system (Tebra) in a timely manner

• Collaborate with the attending physician and care team to ensure continuity of care

• Uphold HIPAA compliance, practice policies, and clinical protocols

• Contribute to a welcoming, patient-first office culture

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or compact state license)

• Board certification as a Women's Health NP (WHNP-BC) or Family NP (FNP-BC) — or equivalent

• Active DEA registration (required)

• Current credentialing and active participation with major commercial insurance carriers (e.g., Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, BlueCross BlueShield, CareFirst) — required at time of hire

• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in women's health, gynecology, or primary care

• Proficiency with EHR systems; experience with Tebra (formerly Kareo) is a plus

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build trust with diverse patient populations

• Reliable availability for Monday and Tuesday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an independent or private practice setting

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred given our patient population

• Experience with in-office gynecological procedures (IUD insertion/removal, colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, etc.)

• Familiarity with value-based care principles and quality metrics
