Our organization, in collaboration with a prominent healthcare facility in New York City, is looking to hire two part-time Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, with positions available for 16 and 24 hours per week. The department is dedicated to expanding its orthognathic services and is introducing new offerings in bone regeneration and implantology. The healthcare center is a 545-bed tertiary care institution and an ACS-verified level 1 trauma center located in the culturally rich borough of Queens, NY.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgical care, focusing on orthognathic, bone regeneration, and implantology procedures.
  • Supervise and mentor residents and students in the clinic, promoting a supportive and collaborative educational atmosphere.
  • Utilize operating room privileges to carry out complex surgical procedures.
  • Work alongside interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Engage in departmental meetings, quality improvement projects, and continuing education initiatives.
  • Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to provide cohesive patient care and support community service activities.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a DDS or DMD degree and be board eligible or board certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
  • Hold a valid New York State License, DEA, and Medicaid number.
  • Demonstrate strong clinical skills, teaching experience, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Showcase experience in orthognathic surgery, bone regeneration, and implantology.
Working Conditions and Compensation

There is potential for a faculty appointment with our organization, depending on credentials, experience, and qualifications. The compensation package ranges from $124,800 to $187,200, not including on-call coverage and faculty practice distributions awarded throughout the academic year.
