Travel Med-Surg Nurse (RN) in Boston, MA
Job Description
Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years MS RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This assignment places you in a fast-paced, dynamic, and supportive Med/Surgical and Surgical Stepdown environment within a 23-bed unit. You’ll expand your clinical skills working closely with complex post-surgical patients while collaborating with an experienced multidisciplinary team. Exposure to advanced patient care scenarios and robust protocols will build your expertise and strengthen your résumé.
Schedule/Hours:
- Nights & Every Other Weekend (36 hours/week)
- Floating required
- Rotating shifts for day positions only (nights do not require rotation)
Required Qualifications:
- Current Massachusetts RN License
- AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 2+ years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Proficient in telemetry monitoring (must be able to read tele strips), chest tube management, NGT, epidural care, and capnography
Preferred Experience:
- Arterial line management
- Neo-synephrine administration
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care on Medical/Surgical and Surgical Stepdown units
- Monitor diverse patient populations post-general, GYN, vascular, thoracic, urology, oral, plastics, and trauma surgeries
- Accurately interpret tele strips and apply advanced monitoring techniques
- Document and track care using EPIC charting system
- Adapt to floating between units as needed
